زمینه و هدف: عفونت با هلیکوباکتر یکی از علل عمده بیماری های معده می باشد. این مطالعه جهت بررسی ارتباط عفونت هلیکوباکتر با عادات غذایی رایج در مبتلایان به دیس پپسی طراحی شد. روش بررسی: این مطالعه توصیفی تحلیلی در افراد مراجعه کننده جهت انجام آندوسکوپی دستگاه گوارش(374 نفر) با استفاده از پرسشنامه تکرر مصرف غذایی برای یک سال و یادآمد 24 ساعته خوراک برای سه روز انجام و نمونه هایی از آنتر، جسم و فوندوس در شیشه حاوی فرمالین بافر شده برای بررسی پاتولوژیک ارسال گردید. اطلاعات به دست آمده توسط نرم افزار SPSS ویرایش 13 آنالیز شد. جهت مقایسه میانگین ها از آزمون Independent-Sample t test استفاده شد. P value کمتر از 05/0 معنی دار در نظر گرفته شد. یافته ها: جامعه آماری این مطالعه را 214 نفر سالم (57 درصد) و 160 نفر مبتلا (43 درصد) تشکیل دادند. میانگین دریافت روزانه ی سوسیس و کالباس (001/0= P)، همبرگر (002/0= P) در گروه بیمار نسبت به گروه سالم بیشتر و تفاوت معنی داری داشت. میانگین دریافت روزانه ی گوشت ماهی (001/0= P) و هفتگی گوجه فرنگی (001/0= P)، پیاز (002/0= P) و مرکبات (002/0= P) در افراد مبتلا نسبت به افراد سالم به طور معنی داری پایین بود. نتیجه گیری: مصرف بالای میوه و سبزیجات و مصرف پایین گوشت قرمز از عادات غذایی افراد سالم و دریافت بالای گوشت های فرآوری شده از عادات غذایی افراد مبتلا به عفونت هلیکوباکتر بودند. بنابراین رژیم غذایی مناسب میتواند به عنوان یک پیشنهاد برای مردم در سیاست های سلامت عمومی قرار بگیرد.
