The Stem Cell Research Center has been established to expand research, establish and develop stem cell technology and cell therapy, as well as provide solutions in the treatment of degenerative and chronic diseases using stem cells.
The overall goal of the center is to fulfill the motto of "delivering research achievements in the field of stem cells from the laboratory to the patient's bed."
1. Creating strong collaborations between university researchers that will take place under the priorities and research programs of this center.
2. Facilitate the recruitment and training of efficient basic and clinical science researchers and increase their knowledge and skills in this field
3. Employing a strong and skilled staff of academic researchers in this field
4. Production of knowledge and technology of cell therapy in the province and the country
5. Establishment of umbilical cord, bone marrow and other stem cell banks in the province
6. Commercialize stem cell knowledge to technology and increase national wealth
7. Communicating with the public through the presentation of bulletins, public education about stem cells, applications and new research achievements of the center
8. Attracting joint investment of Iranian and international institutions inside and outside the country for the development of technologies related to stem cells in this center
9. Strong participation in generating stem cell research knowledge through the publication of articles and books
10. Creating a suitable platform for supporting and using talented and elite students for stem cell research and strengthening university student research committees
11. Step into the production of high-consumption laboratory materials for stem cell research and technology
12. Establish a centralized center in the province to maintain donated stem cells
13. Provide the necessary arrangements to attract PhD students
14. Scientific cooperation with research and educational centers of other countries and international organizations in compliance with the laws and regulations of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran
